How is my Profit Calculated in the Readymade Store?
Updated
Members of the Commercial Ready Program can see detailed pricing for the Readymade Store by clicking the button below.
Let’s break it down so it’s clear how your earnings are determined. When your artwork sells, here’s the process:
- Start with the Sale Price: This is what the customer pays for your artwork.
- Subtract the Costs: We deduct costs involved in preparing and selling your artwork, which include:
- Printing: The cost of high-quality printing to ensure your artwork impresses.
- Framing: Expenses for professional framing, which includes materials and skilled labor.
- Credit Card Fees: The fees for processing payments through credit card companies.
- Handling and Packaging: The cost of materials and labor to securely package your artwork.
- Your Profit: After we’ve covered the costs, we split what’s left over. Think of it like this: We take the sale price of your artwork, subtract all the costs we just talked about, and then, whatever amount is left, we divide it in half. That’s your profit. So, you get 50% of the remaining amount after costs.
