What are the requirements for Readymade status?

Once your artwork has been badged as Commercial Ready (CR) you may opt-into the Readymade Program by agreeing to the Readymade Agreement. You may opt-out specific artworks you do not wish to sell via Readymade by following the guidelines here.

What are the requirements for Commercial Ready status?

  • High-quality, high-resolution images of your work.
  • Bright and evenly-lit images with inviting and dynamic themes.
  • Minimum 5400 pixels on the shortest side and 300 DPI for prints.
  • Content appropriate for all ages (non-political, non-divisive).
  • Tightly cropped images.

What types of artworks are not accepted?

  • Nudity, political, or adult themes.
  • Low-detail or low-resolution images.
  • Images with wall/installation views.
  • Dark Compositions are often less desirable.

What happens if my work doesn’t receive a Commercial Ready badge?

If your work does not receive a Commercial Ready badge, it may be due to factors such as image quality, over-processing, or its appropriateness and desirability in a commercial environment. However, this does not reflect the overall quality of your work, which may still be suitable for other markets. You are encouraged to continue submitting new work that meets the criteria for future consideration.
