I make my prints and hand-painted acrylic paintings as a way to explore how attention works in an attention economy. While we are bombarded nonstop with stimuli trying to influence us, sell things to us and so forth, artworks draw our attention to themselves as themselves--they might teach us something, inspire us, or influence us somehow, but they let us do so on our own terms.
