Description
Abstract, geometric, multilayered, and colorful, images in the Quantrian collections are created with digital algorithms inspired by Mondrian, Molnár, and other modern artists. These are custom algorithms that I coded from scratch — not AI! — to explore specific aesthetics of color and form.
Series 3 expands the algorithms with more opportunities for color layering and blending, as well as coordinate conversion to circular format.
"Some Things Rise Too Fast" is #164 in the Quantrian collections, part of Series 3. The geometrics crossed a line of no return a little too quickly.

I started the Quantrian project to explore the experience of color through structure and form. Inspired by the artwork of modern art masters of geometry and color — Mark Rothko, Piet Mondrian, Ellsworth Kelly, and others — Quantrian uses the pure forms of square, circle, and line to experiment with hue and shade. As an ode to Vera Molnár’s “machine imaginaire,” I first imagined a world of abstract geometric paintings where randomness replaced whim and intuition, then I created it, designing and
