This is the famous La Jolla cove, a well-known spot for watching sea life, including sea lions. I arrived around 7am, and it was a very peaceful morning - all except for the occasional sounds of the sea lions playing in the water. There is something really peaceful about being in this environment, especially with few people around early in the morning. I painted this painting en plein air, outdoors in one sitting. 

The painting is on a canvas with a deep frame, so it can be hung as is, or with a minimal frame on the outside. It also comes with hanging wire installed on the back.
