Artist Statement

My work stems from the dialogue between nature, science and the human spirit. As an architect and artist, I approach creation as a quest for balance between structure and emotion, precision and freedom. My works — paintings, sculptures and bas-reliefs — explore the invisible links between forms, cycles of transformation and the fragile beauty of living things.Inspired by surrealism and symbolism, I construct images that invite the viewer to enter a poetic, contemplative world open to interpretation. I enjoy blurring the boundaries between painting and sculpture, between volume and surface, to give my compositions a living, sensory presence. This approach allows me to create works that are not merely meant to be looked at, but which seek to be felt.I aim to offer works that convey harmony, depth, and inner energy. I hope that my art touches upon what is universal: strength, vulnerability, memory and transformation. Each creation thus becomes an invitation to reflect, to feel and to rediscover the poetry of the world around us.

Bio

I am an architect and artist with a vast knowledge of fine arts and architecture. I have dedicated 16 years of my life to studying these subjects at various art and architecture schools. In 1991, I graduated with a degree in architecture and art from the Vilnius Academy of Art (VDA), which is the State University of the Republic of Lithuania. During my time there, I had the privilege of being taught by renowned architects Professors Algimantas Nasvytis and Algimantas Mačiulis, as well as artist Kazys Morkūnas. Before that, I attended Prydniprovska State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture in Ukraine from 1983 to 1985. My main mentor and teacher during that period was architect Mark Schneerson. Before that, from 1979 to 1983, I studied at the Faculty of Architecture at Dnepropetrovsk Assembly College in Ukraine. Even before that, from 1975 to 1979, I completed my studies at the École des Beaux-Art.My latest participation in exhibitions:Arte Laguna World Venice; Canvas Venice International Art Fair 2024; Contemporary Venice 16th edition. Artexpo Basel 0.3.I am a member of the French National Association of Visual Artists, ‘La Maison des artistes’.. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to participate in international exhibitions, showcasing my artistic talent and architectural expertise. Currently, I work as an architect and artist on the French Riviera. In addition to architectural projects, I also create art objects, paintings, and bas-reliefs that enhance the uniqueness of interiors. My creations bring aesthetics, harmony, and purity of form and lines to living spaces. My work reflects my fascination with the style of surrealism, which I am constantly developing. Recently, I have been particularly attracted to symbolism, which is rooted in the depths of spiritual culture. Recently, my work has been in the vein of automatic drawing, the ideas of which are gradually revealed through additional sources of information. At the same time, my work often unfolds in metaphors and allegories, a magnificent journey through time and space. Every line, color, and shape in my works has its meaning, and I strive to create a complete and harmonious work of art. My creations make an effort to translate the transmission of emotions, thoughts, and ideals into reality, evoke the imagination, and draw the viewer into my world of magic. I invite anyone who dares to immerse themselves in my work to experience it in depth and to have new experiences, leaving room for interpretation and self-discovery.
