I am a self-taught artist, writer, and designer. I create paintings, collages, assemblages, and artist books, I write dark and fantastic fiction, and I design toys for grown-ups. My work tells the stories of things I see around me every day, contextualized by free associations of memories, moods, history, and culture.I mix media and techniques freely, working with found images and objects, photography, paint, pastel, printmaking, paper, words, texture, whatever gets the story told. Favorite themes include the daily, personal, intimate presence of nature, the challenges of climate change, and breaking through the buffers we put up against our own thoughts.I was born under the sign of Aquarius in the year of the Rabbit, and I currently live and work in scenic, post-industrial Somerville, Massachusetts, USA.
