Story:

Before the boats stirred the waters in Orlando, I stood on a wooden bridge, waiting for stillness to return. In that quiet, Frogbit leaves floated like bouquets, roots stretched into the depths, and reflections blurred the boundary between water and sky.

Not all reflections are born of calm. A resin drop, loosened by a passing squirrel, struck the surface and bloomed into a fleeting illusion — for a moment it resembled a fish of shifting rainbow light.

This series began as an exercise in patience but became a meditation on silence, disturbance, and the unexpected poetry of water. I’m sharing two closing images here: one of Frogbit and mirrored waters, the other of the resin drop transformed into a fish

I am a passionate photographer, blessed with curious eyes that are constantly amazed by the forms and designs produced by water, and the combination of its temperature and light. No matter how many pictures I take of the same shot, every time I witness a very different expression. My camera and I have been traveling around the world since 1977, registering its shapes and essence, which I have been sharing through large prints, as an homage to its abundance, fragility, and essential existence; trying to convey the feeling I had at the time of the capture, registering most of the time in color and sometimes in monochrome.
