Ashok Sinha

Published by The New York Times, The Guardian, and Interior Design Magazine among others, Ashok Sinha's work focuses on capturing the design elegance of built environments, and his deep interest in the natural world often manifests as personal bodies of work.Ashok’s award-winning book 'Gas and Glamour' published by Kehrer Verlag (Germany) in 2020 is a celebration of car culture and roadside architecture of mid-century Los Angeles and was chosen as one of the top picks of the year by The Wall Street Journal and Los Angeles Magazine. Sinha's work has also been recognized by The American Institute of Architects, American Photography, The Society of Publication Designers, and exhibited at The Museum of the City of New York, and the Royal Photographic Society among others. Building on his photography expertise, Ashok doubles as a cinematographer and principal at Story Font Studio, a boutique video production agency. His most recent short film 'Sticker City' (2019) was selected in Amazon Video’s first annual All Voices Film Festival and prior works such as 'Pigeon Kings of Brooklyn' (2015) was featured as a Vimeo Staff Pick and screened at Photoville, New York.Ashok is also the founder of Cartwheel Initiative, a community-based nonprofit organization that uses photography and art to connect and collaborate with marginalized youth.
