Purple has always been a color of mystery, spirituality, and power. In my body of work for The Violet Hour: Art of the Color Purple, I explore how purple symbolizes a bridge between the material and the immaterial, blending passion and calmness, royalty and humility, creativity and introspection. My paintings reflect personal and universal narratives where purple appears as a central force of transformation. Through abstract and semi-abstract compositions, I use layers of purple tones—from deep indigos to soft lavenders—to evoke emotions of nostalgia, hope, and transcendence. Purple, to me, is a color that carries the weight of history, femininity, resistance, and imagination. In these works, I experiment with texture, light, and form to express how purple inspires silence and loudness at the same time—inviting the viewer into a contemplative state. Each brushstroke and color choice reflects my deep connection with purple as a symbol of resilience, mystery, and grace.Ultimately, The Violet Hour represents the moment when daylight fades and twilight begins—a space where creativity awakens, and dreams merge with reality.
