Just as the sky needs the moon and the stars, painting, for me, is everything from Venus to Mars. It gives me nutrition, fulfills my soul, eases my anxiety and makes me happy. It is a meditation for me to find peace and self-awareness through painting a picture. No matter whether it is urban views, landscapes, animals or people, they all inspire me to paint. I had several different careers but nothing is like painting, it can stimulate my enthusiasm, self-release and satisfaction.I loved to draw when i was a kid, my parents discouraged me with my interest because, in China, the only way to have a bright future is to major in a practical profession. I buried my dreams then but it has been always there to summon me. I was born in 1973, soon I will be 50 years old soon. I know that it is never late to pursue my dream. In a beautiful early spring morning, I grabbed a brush and started to paint .Art is magical, it connects me with others, with nature, with the world, moreover, with myself. I can face my imperfections more calmly, face the setbacks in life and the expectations of my family and friends. Art also makes me to observe the world and humanity more closely and bring me wisdom and life. For that, I will always be seeking the philosophy and the authentic beauty of life through painting.
