Artist Statement

My work explores those in-between moments where light, weather and memory meet and where a sense of belonging can be felt, even if the place itself is imagined.I’m drawn to shifting skies, open landscapes and the small presence of a house in the distance - something to hold onto. These recurring forms have become a way of exploring connection, nostalgia and the idea of returning. Not necessarily to a place, but to a feelingI work from my garden studio in Lincolnshire painting in acrylic and mixed media building layers of texture, colour and atmosphere
